The National Public Health Centre under the Ministry of Health informs that, as of 12 November this year, some amendments to the Lithuanian Hygiene Standard 75:2016, General Health Safety Requirements for the Implementation of Pre-School and Pre-Primary Education Programmes (Hygiene Standard 75:2016), came into force. Other amendments to the requirements of the Lithuanian Hygiene Standard will enter into force on 1 May and 1 September next year. The amendments to Hygiene Standard 75:2016 can be found [here].
The new amendments, which came into force on 12 November 2024, clarify the requirements for defining the time when a child's impairment or disability is detected after the formation of a group, at which point the number of children in the group must be reduced. They also clarify definitions, update references, and refine the legal acts referred to in Hygiene Standard 75:2016.
The provisions of Hygiene Standard 75:2016 relating to children's recreation (requirements for conditions for quiet activities) will enter into force on 1 May 2025. Additionally, the requirements for the replacement and testing of sand in sandboxes in children's playgrounds have been clarified.
Amendments to Hygiene Standard 75:2016 concerning the formation of general-purpose and special groups will enter into force on 1 September 2025.
The questionnaire for the periodic monitoring of public health safety of education providers carrying out pre-school and/or pre-primary education has been updated accordingly and is available [here](link to questionnaires).
