Principles of isolation in a home or other place of residence
● Do not leave self-isolation place, except in the cases referred. If tests are required to be performed or in other cases, it is prohibited to travel to or from the self-isolation place by a public transport.
Persons who have returned or arrived from countries whence arrivals fall subject to the enhanced communicable disease control measures (according to the List of Affected Countries), may leave the place of self-isolation in specified cases only with permission of the NPHC.
● A person arriving / returning from a foreign country except of those arriving / returning from countries whence arrivals fall subject to the enhanced communicable disease control measures (according to the List of Affected Countries) may go for a walk in the field within 1 km of the self-isolation place and wearing protective equipment (face masks, respirators or other means) covering the nose and mouth. It is forbidden to visit mass gathering places (events, shops, museums, catering places, etc.). If the person is contacted by officials inspecting isolated persons for compliance with self-isolation requirements, the person must return to the self-isolation place.
● Persons that have been exposed to someone with confirmed COVID-19 (coronavirus infection), who do not show signs of an acute viral respiratory infection may go for a walk in the field within 1 km of the self-isolation place and wearing protective equipment (face masks, respirators or other means) covering the nose and mouth avoiding any contact with other persons. It is forbidden to visit mass gathering places (events, shops, museums, catering places, etc.). If the person is contacted by officials inspecting isolated persons for compliance with self-isolation requirements, the person must return to the self-isolation place.
● Stay in regular contact with the healthcare professional that is currently taking care of you.
● Do not accept guests / visitors at all times during self-isolation.
● Take care of food and other necessary facilities remotely - ask friends or relatives or contact
companies that provide necessary facilities or food delivery services, if this is not possible, these
services should be provided by the municipal administration.
● If your prescription needs to be extended, contact your GP remotely.
● If you have scheduled visits to specialist doctors, dentists, change the date of the visit to a later date.
● Measure your body temperature daily and monitor your condition due to difficulty breathing *. If your condition deteriorates, contact the Coronavirus Hotline at 1808.
* Often shortness of breath is of psychological origin. It is important to assess whether resting breathing (more than 20 rpm) or shortness of breath persists at rest.
