Do I need to self-isolate after exposure to a person with COVID-19 if I have already had COVID-19? What if I have recovered from COVID-19 but have received a SMS informing me that I must self-isolate?
You are not required to fill in the questionnaire received by SMS and to self-isolate, but if you have been confirmed with COVID-19 in Lithuania and less than 210 days have passed since the diagnosis (positive SARS CoV-2 PCR or antigen test), you should contact the National Public Health Center (NPHC) by e-mail: [email protected], specialists will be able to check this fact in the System and no additional documents will be required.
If more than 210 days have passed since the diagnosis (positive SARS CoV-2 PCR or antigen test), you will be asked if you have had an antibody test in the last 60 days. If the antibody test was positive, the self-isolation is not required. If you have not had an antibody test, it is recommended to take the test. The person must self-isolate until the antibody test result is obtained. If the test is positive, the result must be submitted to the NPHC at [email protected] (you must wait for the response from the NPHC and only then you may leave the place of your self-isolation).
It is also recommended to take a PCR test or antigen test no earlier than 3 days after exposure (except recovered persons when COVID-19 was diagnosed by a PCR or antigen test less than 90 days ago).
