Are you required to self-isolate after exposure to someone with COVID-19 if you have recovered from COVID-19? What should you do if you had recovered but have received a SMS message informing about self-isolation?

The self-isolation after exposure to someone with COVID-19 does not apply to those recovered if after the recovery (diagnosis confirmation by SARS-CoV-2 PCR or antigen test) less than 210 days have passed.

If you qualify for this condition,  you are not required to complete the questionnaire sent by SMS and you are not required to self-isolate but you should apply to the NPHC at the e-mail [email protected], the specialists will be able to check this fact in the System and you will not be required to submit any additional documents.

If after the recovery (diagnosis confirmation by SARS-CoV-2 PCR or antigen test) more than 210 days have passed,  it is assessed  whether you have had an antibody test in the last 60 days. If the test is positive, then self-isolation is not applied. If an antibody test has not been taken, it is recommended to take it. The person must be in self-solation until an antibody test result is obtained. If the test is positive, the document with test result must be submitted to the NPHC at [email protected] (please wait for a response from the NPHC and only then the self-isolation is terminated).

It is also recommended to take a PCR test or antigen test no earlier than on the 3rd day after exposure (except of those recovered with diagnosis confirmation by a PCR test or antigen test less than 90 days ago).
