Are you required to self-isolate after exposure to someone with COVID-19 if you are vaccinated?
The self-isolation after exposure to someone with COVID-19 does not apply to the vaccinated persons who have been vaccinated less than 120 days ago or who have received a booster shot.
A person is considered to have received a booster shot if he or she has been vaccinated according to the full COVID-19 vaccination schedule and has recovered from COVID-19 when diagnosis was confirmed by a positive laboratory PCR test for SARS-CoV-2. (regardless of the sequence of vaccination and recovery (or vaccine doses and recovery).
If a person has been vaccinated more than 120 days ago and has not received a booster shot, the self- isolation applies until a negative PCR test, which should be taken no earlier than on the 3rd day after exposure.
If the PCR test is not taken, self-isolation is mandatory for 10 days from the last day of exposure.
