If you have been exposed, does it mean that you are infected?

It does not mean that you are infected but such a possibility cannot be ruled out. Every infectious disease has certain incubation period, i.e. the time elapsed between exposure to a pathogenic organism and when symptoms are first apparent.  According to current data, the incubation period for COVID-19 disease (coronavirus infection) can be up to 14 days.
