How is this infection transmitted?

It is known that COVID-19 (coronavirus infection) can be transmitted from person to person, usually through close contact with a sick or infected person with coronavirus infection (e.g. at home or at work, at the healthcare facility).

The virus can also be transmitted through droplets of airway secretion when a person coughs or sneezes. There is evidence that the virus can also be transmitted by the oral-fecal route (e.g. through dirty hands).
