WHEN ARE YOU ALLOWED TO LEAVE ISOLATION PLACE?

A person who has been exposed to someone with confirmed COVID-19 (coronavirus infection) may leave the isolation place wearing a protective device (face mask, respirator, etc.) covering the nose and mouth in the following cases:

1. to organize the funeral of a close person, the transportation of the remains and / or to attend a funeral ceremony / burial of a close person or to visit terminally ill patients;
2. to go to healthcare institution to collect a swab specimen from the nasopharynx and pharynx for laboratory tests for COVID-19 disease (coronavirus infection) or to receive health care services.
3. to go to an healthcare institution for healthcare services or after pre-registration at the Coronavirus Hotline tel. 1808 or at the NPHC to go to the mobile site for nasopharyngeal and pharyngeal swab sampling  required for laboratory testing for COVID-19 (coronavirus infection);
4. to take a person unable to take care of him(her)self to an healthcare institution for healthcare services or to the mobile site  for nasopharyngeal and pharyngeal swab sampling  required for laboratory testing for COVID-19 (coronavirus infection)

You do not need to notify the NVSC or obtain a permit to leave the isolation place for these reasons.


Foreigners and citizens of the Republic of Lithuania living or working abroad may leave the Republic of Lithuania to the country where they live or work before the end of the established period of isolation, if they have a negative laboratory test for COVID-19 (coronavirus infection) performed not later than 48 hours before the planned departure  and have no symptoms upper respiratory tract infection on the day of departure.

The NHPC must be notified of the planned departure no later than 24 hours before leaving the Republic of Lithuania by attaching the document proving the negative test.
